Spring Racing Carnival: Derby Day

Spring Racing Carnival is here and this seasons trends are very exciting and a bit more quirky and unique then that of previous years. In this edition of my blog I have put together two Derby Day looks. They are inspired by different 2017 race day trends and are both easily achievable and perfect for Derby day!

Look one is a very structured and slightly more masculine giving off a very 1990s feel. The tuxedo style vest dress from Camilla and Marc is perfect for a day spent in comfort. Keeping this look sleek and simple I chose a tall leather headpiece by Fiona Powell at Myer, black pumps from Wittner and a beaded clutch from Mimco. To add some detail to the outfit I chose and cuff and earring combo also from Mimco.

Look two is a soft, feminine and more whimsical look. The delicate lace off shoulder dress from Rodeo Show is the perfect statement. Teamed with all black accessories I chose the 'flutter' tiara from Mimco which adds the girly aspect of this look. I chose accessories that continued to soften the look, black open toe pumps from Mi Piaci, tasseled statement earring from Kookai and a cross body hip bag from Marc Jacobs.
