In this instalment of my blog I have listed the Top 10 ways to look More Presentable. These are tips to follow day to day that will enhance your style as well as give you a clean and polished look. I know some days we can't be bothered or it all seems to hard; however these 10 simple things will change the way you might be perceived. They are especially important in business situation, looking for a new job or meeting new people.

1. Leggings are NOT pants.

This is a topic for debate. Some people will disagree with me, but try it. Swap out those leggings for a pair of tailored pants or a slim fit jean and just see how different you will feel. Leggings can look lazy especially if they are see through and are not professional at all. Leggings can be a great base or a replacement for tights, just throw over a skirt or a dress. Make sure your belly isn't visible and your butt isn't in anyones face.

2. Lint roll your clothes.

Animal fur and other bits of fluff can and will get stuck to your clothes at some point, and people notice. Lint rollers are cheap and can be taken on the run, keep one in your bag or one in the car; even in an emergency situation grab the office sticky tape and get the lint off your clothes.

3. Get out the iron!

Ironing can be a huge pain and can take time on stubborn and resistant fabrics, but it will make all the difference. Get those creases out and you will be in for an amazing and powerful day. Wrinkled fabrics are wrong!

4. Don't overdo the accessories.

Layering jewel is in and quite fashionable when done correctly. Wear your watch with a soft bracelet and bangle and stop right there or wear your fine simple necklace with some classic studs. Adding accessories should complete the look and not take over it. Piling on too much too enhance a simple outfit is where you will get caught out, potentially looking tacky. Don't be afraid of keeping it simple, and remember less is more.

5. Wearing a hair tie as a bracelet.

JUST NO! You can purchase classic pieces at affordable prices from many outlets these days, take the time to find some simple products that will work with many outfits.

6. Ditch the old and worn out clothing.

Off the bat this will make you look uninterested and is going to set you up for making a bad impression wherever you are. Whites will discolour, fabrics will pill and its time to discard them from your wardrobe when this sad time comes.

7. Wear clothing that correctly fits.

Whether they are too big or too small if the garment doesn't fit it is simple. don't wear it. Purchasing something that does not fit because we love it or the sales person said we look great is a common occurrence and it is heartbreaking. Remember sizing various from store to store and it is important not to read the size on the label. See how the garments fit and make sure it fits well.

8. Take care of your nails.

It is unpresentable and unprofessional. Take the time in your busy schedule to paint your nails, even with clear polish to give a crisp and maintained look. If you can, go out for a manicure and have them professionally done. You deserve to feel and be pampered!!

9. Cover your bra straps.

Women wear bras, yes I know; however, it is never appropriate in any professional setting to have your bras visible. It will make you look untidy and as though you have gotten dressed with your eyes closed, it is best just to keep them covered up.

10. Wet hair.

This says "I was rushed, and I have poor time management." Invest in a blow dryer and use that bad boy when the time calls for it. It gives the illusion of sloppiness and lack of care, even if you genuinely were rushing.
